Dear users,
we are sorry to inform you, that we had to end development of our FurryBall after almost ten years!
We will give FurryBall for free to all users, but without any Maintenace and Support.
Because we have to keep our servers working, we have set the symbolic price 29,- EUR per year.
Hope you will understand us and keep using FurryBall if it fits you.
Thanks for all those nice years with GPU rendering.
Your FurryBall team

ok so I've got my mits on a handy lil tool to make foresting in maya super easy. thing is I keep getting an error when I use furry to render.
hmmm so I tried to switch from furry materials to regular may lamerts... still no good.
hmmm so I tried to reimport as objs instead of fbx files and still... no good.
im not a superstar but ive been able to solve other issues just with the limited knowledge I have but..
this one's for the pros I think.

what info do you need from me to help
error is as follows

and continues quiet far.

I imagine fbx files aren't supported.

 :o
Might be related to viewtopic.php?f=35&t=5162 (never found a true 'fix' just workarounds).

In theory, any file format that Maya can read should work as long as geometry ends up being polygons (as opposed to file types that end up as NURBS).

Hi,
try to use BVH (CPU based) acceleration structure (for both transform and geometry) instead of TrBVH (GPU based), see our documentation.
