Hi,
I am having an issue with an object I imported into Maya from a CAD application. Furryball will not calculate transparency (and reflection..) for it. Mental ray renders it just fine with transparency, reflections, refractions, etc. So is Furryball just very picky about correct geometry?

An example scene is attached to this post and below is a screenshot that shows the issue. My Furryball version is RT 1.3.3905 on Windows 10.

The cube and the object on the right both have the same Furryball material applied, but as you can see only the cube is semi-transparent:

I didn't see your scene yet, but FurryBall is not picky for geometry. ;-)
You have probably just small transparent depth... For cube there is enough 1, but for complex object you need of course more...
Also you don't have specular, because you have just primary and transparency rays and not specular or reflection rays in features. . ;-)

I just looked on your scene and you are right - the problem is, that your object doesn't have any UV.
Just make some automatic UV and all will be fine. In FB EVERy object has to have some UV.

Ah, great, thank you!

Funny thing is that I got it to work without UVs! All I had to do was clear the Furryball memory. But I'll add UVs so it is more stable.

It would be great if Furryball would give an error message, if an object does not have UVs or even offer to create automatic UVs?!
