Hi!

Is it possible, like in mental ray, to turn off the visibility
of the area light shape, but with light still on.

I have tried many things without success.

Thanks.

Edit: I tried it again and it works only in classic viewport, it does not work in viewport 2.0

Area lighst are NOT visible in render - just reflection and specular of course. I'm not sure what do you mean.

If you mean regular OBJECT with EMISSION, so when you create it invisible, it will no more emit - it make sense. 8-) So this way is not possible.

Hi,

it was a while back ago this issue came up but i'd
just like to say for the record that what i needed
for the area light could be done by controlling the
specular intensity of the area light separately.

Of course - you can control specular, diffuse etc. at each light separately.

Look into help.
