Hi everybody !
Today i'm just grab a free furryball 4.8 just to test and decide which renderer on the market to buy for my future works.

And you know : this furyball renderer doesn't make any sense at all !

My render benchmark
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs)
System RAM: 16384MB
Software ver: FurryBall: 4.8.3286

DX Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2048MB)
CUDA GPU(s): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2048MB)
Driver ver: 9.18.13.2049
Driver date: 6/21/2013 19:06:36

Render time for High raytracing is 551.57 s

=======================================================================
AND RIGHT BELOW ME IS A BETTER MACHINE SPECS WITH SLOWER RENDER TIME @@
=======================================================================

OS: Windows 7 Professional K 64-bit Service Pack 1
CPU: Intel Xeon CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz (24 CPUs)
System RAM: 32768MB
Software ver: FurryBall: 4.8.3286

DX Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (2048MB)
CUDA GPU(s): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (2048MB)
Driver ver: 9.18.13.3182
Driver date: 11/14/2013 20:56:36

Render time for High raytracing is 582.12 s

=======================================================================
BOTTOM LINE IS : A MACHINE WITH 24 CPUS VS 8 CPUS, 32GB RAM VS 16 GB RAMS, GTX 770 VS GTX 670. THE BETTER ONE LOST ? WTF ?

=======================================================================
COME UP TO THE GPU ONLY COMPARISION UP THERE :

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2048MB) 8.86 s 69.91 s 533.4 s
NVIDIA Quadro K5000 (4096MB) 13.63 s 72.5 s 566.42 s

INSANSE ! A Quadro K5000 with higher Ram installed than my GTX 670 renders slower 33s !
Sinse i'm a newbie in rendering, everyone in my world told me that i should buy a Quadro card for making films, and the GTX is just for playing.
QUADRO FOR MAKING MONEY, AND GTX IS FOR SPENDING MONEY ! Now look again at this benchmark ? Any sense ?

So, a better CPU still doesn't help, a better RAM doesn't help, better graphic card doesn't help ?
Base on the Benchmark, if i wan a better render time, i just go buy the GTX 780ti ( not Quadro ), and doesn't have to spend money to upgrade my CPU or RAM because those doesn't change anything !

Any thoughts ?

Yes, welcome in GPU rendering - quadro are really slower than game cards... ;-(
But not for all instructions. Also has 12gb memory K6000 for example.
But generally game cards are better for rendering - looks on our benchmark page.
About CPU, please look in FAQ, there is some informations which can help you.
