FurryBall 4 Beta

New Raytraced features are NVIDIA compatible ONLY!!!
:!: On Older Nvidia GPU (Fermi series 4xx,5xx, QUADRO 4000) there can be VERY LONG compilation time, with HUGE system memory consumption - 10-15 GB!!!
:!: In case of older computer with FERMI GPU and less than 16GB RAM, can all system freeze!!
:!: CUDA cores has to be ENABLE in Nvidia settings
:!: Because DX and CUDA share it's memory we recommend at LEAST 2GB of GPU memory. For serious work and HD renders you will need 4-6GB of GPU memory
:!: Trial version must be activated over internet, be sure, that you have internet connection while first load

For 64-bit Maya 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014

FurryBall 3 and 4 compatibility
If you need use older (FurryBall 2 or 3) scenes in FurryBall 4 you have to do:
1) Make new Render node and select DirectX in Render Method attribute
2) Tune shaders - (Because we build our own FurryBall material, we had to change Maya default materials (Blin, Phong, Lambert) - in some cases there can be different Specular or Reflections in FurryBall 4)

New version available (2013-08-23)
3DS Max support (the first beta)
    not yet supported:
Hairs, particles, fluids, rendering icon in material editor, output passes, procedural textures, better lights, camera attributes, Network rendering, standalone, faster displacement, multi-materials
Less visible watermark
Displacement (raytraced)
Bump maps in reflection and IL
Tile rendering (now you can use unlimited resolution)

Highlighted new features:
VIDEO - New features in FurryBall 4

Fully Raytraced Shadows
Fully Raytraced Refractions, Reflections and AO
UNLIMITED number of textures, fur
Full Mutli-GPU support

Furryball material
Raytraced mesh light emmision
Quality presets

Not supported features in Beta (Will be available in final version)
Standalone version, Export from Maya
Network rendering
SSS (raytraced)

Benchmark

:!: :!: Please, try to proceed and submit our BENCHMARK - it help us in tuning FurryBall for better performance! :!: :!:
:ugeek: Combining LOW and HI card will cause slower results.
:ugeek: 2x TITAN with combination with 2x670 - will be much slower than only 2x TITAN
In full version there will be possible choose your gpu and select cards for raytrace and for DX.
Now you can select GPU for CUDA raytrace in NVIDIA driver control panel.
