I was wondering if there is a tutorial for sss for realistic skin for human for the furryball material maya has a sss skin shader that doesn't work with furryball I have 3 textures for the layers of skin and have no idea where to put them they are 4k textures I have a basic three point light setup I am trying to get a realistic effect but haven't been getting good results

Hi Steve,
try to look on some tutorial on internet and use 3-4 layers SSS for human skin.
There is simple example in our help: http://www.aaa-studio.eu/furryball4help ... 7DOF1.html

BTW, I'm not sure you need 3 SSS textures - There is important last layer with color, bump... but 2-3 bottom layers just simulate flesh.

Hi Jan,

I'm using Maya 2015 with Furryball RT. I can not seem to get SSS working with the furryballMaterial. Could I be missing a simple step or two? Attached is a screengrab.

You don't have enable sss in features... ;-)
Look into tutorial video, it will help you.
